Can you drink alcohol after getting your tongue pierced?
Wait a few days... The last thing you want to do is irritate an open wound in the first hours of it healing. But avoid drinking beer for the duration of the healing period. Consuming beer with an open tongue wound could lead to a oral yeast infection known as Thrush.

I would ask your piercer, but if it were me I would wait a littlebit.
You need to lay off of alchohol for 4 weeks after getting your tongue pierced. Alcohol slows down the healing process, and can also cause flare ups.
Yes but clean in out very well after your done with mouthwash
Well this is a new one, alcohol consumption can be done anytime after getting your navel pierced.
it's really not advised before your piercing has had a chance to heal properly..same goes for mouthwash, if it has an alcohol content. if you do drink alcohol BEFORE it's heal…ed, you can induce an infection, and some nasty swelling
Right after as long as you drink hard liquor, nothing with yeast such as beer.
I have had clients who have gone out that night and done a little drinking. It comes down to common sense, you don't want to be over doing it. Alcohol dehydrates the body and …will make swelling a bigger issue than it already is. If you choose to go out have the bar maid bring you some ice water, suck on the ice through out the evening and try not to over do. Some will go off about yeast and infections, well that is a load of BS and nothing to be concerned about. The yeast in beer and bread are not of the same type to cause a yeast infection. But things you do need to remember is don't hyper extend your tongue to show it off, this will annoy your tongue and the piercing, promoting inflammation and swelling. Cold water rinse any time you smoke or eat anything, cold stuff as often as possible to help keep the swelling down. Original Listerine and other mouth washes should only be done twice a day, in the morning and before bed. Sea salt rinses may help, but can be tasteless and gross and really don't do much for the piercing so that's up to you. Just use common sense with food and aftercare, nothing too spicy or too hot or foods that involve a lot of chewing for the first 4 or 5 days. Dairy products are something you should avoid, yogurt and ice cream are not a good due to the residue they leave behind which can also promote swelling. Just use your head and everything should be good. Ibuprofen and midol or Advil for oral use to reduce swelling may be a good idea as well.
No, it's strongly recommended not to smoke or drink alcohol for at least two weeks after getting it pierced. The body will work harder to protect itself from the alcohol and c…igarettes - rejecting the piercing in the process. Not to mention that i would imagine that would hurt on a fresh wound!. I smoked and drank after about a week of having mine done even though i was told two weeks, it had healed enough to mean that it didnt get infected or anything horrible, but i did have to wait another week for the swelling to go down enough for them to change down my bar.
Right after the piercing do not drink any beer for at least 2 days because the yeast can cause a horrible infection, although I would personally recommend 10 to be safe. Howev…er I believe hard alcohol is fine. Good luck!
No! It's going to hurt like hell, and then can slow the healing process... Wait a month or so! I know from personal experience haha
Yes Chamomile tea is a natural anti inflammatory and will help take the swelling down, however I suggest you drink it in Ice Tea format so it can help cool the piercing as wel…l. hot beverages should be avoided or at least allowed to cool before drinking.
NO , you have to wait about 1 week .
You can drink anything as long as it doesn't have yeast in it like beers and dark alcohols. If you do you can get a yeast infection in your mouth. I just got mine done and I'm… playing it safe because who wants a yeast infection in your mouth. So check the ingredients and be careful.
If the alcholic drink does not have any form of yeast in it then yes u can
Alcohol is a blood thinner and it increases swelling around the piercing and bleeding. But, its advised that you drink only clear alcohol. Not sure why.
No, you can't. Alcohol is a blood thinner so it affects the way your body heals wounds. Which is what a piercing is. Wait at least a week to be safe.
